Um camaleão para a Martine

A Martine faz hoje anos e apesar de gostar muito dos livros da Anita, a Martine também gosta muito dos livros da Emily Gravett. E, por isso, deixo-lhe aqui este "Camaleão azul" como prenda de anos. Talvez um dia se encontrem e se tornem amigos. Um dia muito feliz, menina bonita!

Today is Martine's birthday and although she loves Debbie's books, Martine also loves Emily Gravett's tales. So, as a birthday present here's a "Blue Chameleon". Maybe someday they'll meet and will be friends. I wish you a very happy day, beautiful girl!

Recordação de férias

Recordação de uma das férias* mais bonitas da minha vida. Em Setembro de 1986, no vale do Douro com o meu pai, os meus irmãos e alguns amigos. Passeios de burro e de mula, passeios de barco, passeios a Salamanca, passeios para fazer pic-nics onde calhasse...

A sweet souvenir from one of the most beautiful holidays* of my life. September 1986, in the Douro valley with my father, my brother and sister and some friends. We rode with donkeys and mules, we discovered Douro by boat, we went to Salamanca, we did picnics everywhere...

Com estas lãs tenho andado a fazer cachecóis para manter os bichos quentinhos no Inverno que se aproxima. Devagar, é certo, mas ainda assim é preciso estar preparado!

With these yarn I've been doing some scarves to keep the bichos warm during the winter, although it's coming slowly we must be prepared!

Cães por todo o lado

Com os cães reais e os cães bichos a ocuparem-me grande parte do tempo não tenho tido tempo para olhar com atenção os belos cães da Joana Rosa de Bragança. Ainda não encontrei o sítio definitivo para eles mas por enquanto pu-los à janela a apanhar sol.

With the real dogs and the bichos dogs taking all of my time lately I don't have much time to look at these beautiful dogs painted by Joana Rosa de Bragança. I didn't find their wall yet but for now I put them by the window so they can take sunbathes.

Quinta da Regaleira*

Numa das muitas visitas a Sintra, fomos à Quinta da Regaleira. E só Sintra tem estes verdes!

In one of our trips to Sintra we went to the mystical Quinta da Regaleira, where the green is amazing!
